What is it?

2011 is the sixth year of the Selkirk Sessions Traditional Music Festival and flows on from the two previous Both Sides of the Tweed Festivals which ceased in 2005. Selkirk Sessions welcomes all musicians who enjoy playing folk (traditional or modern), contemporary and bluegrass music; and anyone who just likes listening to good stuff.

As a result of last year’s experiment not to have a Saturday night concert it has been decided to do away with this item of the programme. There will not be a Saturday concert but we are having anchor people in each pup to make sure sessions go with a bang.

Sessions galore in pubs and bars

Saturday Workshops & Competitions

Instead of a winners concert we have decides to have a Mammoth Session where we hope as many people as possible will come along as well as all the competition winners.

followed by Still Standing sessions in the pubs
